A quick introduction to my mission and I...

Well...I will try to be quick.

I have been a stay at home mum since 2008 and have always had a dream of writing a book blah blah blah. Funny thing is that having kids really gets in the way of writing a book especially when you have no clue what it is going to be about and a cup of coffee and some quality telly are calling you and maybe an early night would be a good idea, right after you've tidied up the lounge and put on another load of washing...

Well you get the idea. Excuses - lame or not - have gotten in the way of my awesomeness.

I should explain: I had a realisation the other day that time is ticking and these are days which should be lived in an EPIC fashion.

That wasn't good enough. I shall explain further: Understand me when I say I DO NOT want to jump out of planes, or off bridges or become a vigilante superhero.  I just want to do something that makes me feel like I have achieved something pretty cool. And if other people think that is cool too then POW, I am on cloud 9. Epic Awesomeness achieved.

So how do I do this?  I need to find a hobby which interests me I think. 

I meet Loryn of Loryn Loves and she is one smart and talented cookie who looks like she does nothing but make cakes and decorate coffee tables and write blogs and throw parties and create little imaginative things you would NEVER have dreamed of; but the fact is that she usually has a full time job too (she's just moved to Australia while pregnant so she is excused from job hunting right now) . So god knows how she does it. But I want some of whatever she is on, amIright?

Now I think yes, I like the baking things part, but I have no skill there at all. So she says lets have a cupcake party and I'll show you some stuff.  So we do.  And she does.  And my life is never the same again.

I love eating cakes.  I love baking. And now I love decorating.  And it's easy and it's fun and nothing in the world can stop me now because: I HAVE A HOBBY.

But it doesn't stop there (even if you wish it did) because while embracing my new hobby I realise that there is a whole Web of willing people in a zillion different topics who want to share and teach, guide and inspire me on my road to Epic Awesomeness.

And that's it really. 

That's how I'm going to do this: I'm going to show you what I did, where I got it, how I did it, if it worked, and what I'm going to do better next time. I'll tell you about what I have bought, what you actually need and where I got mine.

I do hope you will join me. There's a lot to do out there.
